For as long as I can remember, I have always been a sucker for surveys. When I saw this one on PBFingers, I had to indulge.
1. What did you eat for breakfast?
I met up with a co-worker at Panera and had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich with a cup of coffee. I had never had breakfast at Panera before today and it was delicious!
2. How much water do you drink a day?
A long time ago, I heard that you are supposed to drink half of your body weight (in oz) in water a day. So, if someone were to weigh 150 pounds, they should drink 75 oz a day. One some days, this is very easy for me to do - on others, it can be difficult. I try to carry a water bottle with me at all times. Water is always my beverage of choice, even when going out!
3. What is your current favorite workout?
I saw a t-shirt at an expo that read "I love running... Just not while I'm doing it". This fits me so well. If it isn't running, I really enjoy Zumba or weight lifting.
4. How many calories do you eat a day?
While I don't count my calories anymore, I used to use MyFitnessPal every day. My calorie intake would range between 1,200-1,800 calories, depending on my workout for that day.
5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
I love fresh fruit or nuts (almonds and pistachios are my favorite)! I also love eating hard boiled eggs.
6. What do you usually eat for lunch?
I usually stick to salads whether it be egg, tuna, pasta, or lettuce. I also like sandwiches or soups. It all depends on the day.
7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
I love working on biceps/triceps/shoulders! (That's one body part, right?)
8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
Legs... Ugh
9. What are your "bad" food cravings?
Pizza and ice cream. Without hesitation.
10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
When I remember, I take a gummy vitamin and a Biotin vitamin since I have very thin hair and nails.
11. How often do you eat out?
We try to limit going out to eat to one day a week. I'm the only person who cooks so if I'm not feeling up for cooking, it's out we go.
12. Do you eat fast food?
I try really hard not to. I'm never satisfied when I do and always regret it afterwards, so I try to stay away. But sometimes I have those days where a burger and fries hit the spot. You just gotta go with it and not beat yourself up.
13. Who is your biggest supporter?
Terry
14. Do you have a gym membership?
Yes, but I wish I utilized it more often!
15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
I aim for at least 7 but take more when I can get it.
16. Do you have a "cheat" day?
When I was really focusing on weight loss, I called it a "cheat" day. But really, it was more of an attempt to stay away from eating out more than one day a week and to save some money. When Terry and I started dating, we were going out to eat several days a week and we knew it needed to stop for our health and our wallets! Now, it has become habit to not eat out as often so I do not call it a "cheat" day anymore but rather a treat (to not have to cook)!
17. Do you drink alcohol?
Yes. I enjoy a glass of wine after a long or rough day but don't make a habit out of it. I like going out to celebrate things such as birthdays, anniversaries, accomplishments, etc but all within limits. I don't like the feeling of being drunk so I try to limit myself to just a few drinks when I do go out.
18. Do you have a workout buddy?
I wish! I'm taking applications now... Just kidding (but really, please contact me). Before I switched gyms, I used to have a few people I could call up and meet at the gym but now Terry and I go to a different gym (for the pool) where I don't know many people.
19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?
My confidence. While I'm still my own worst critic, my confidence has improved greatly. I only hope that it will continue to improve and someday I will feel 100% confident when I look in the mirror. I have loved being able to go clothes shopping and actually find things that fit and look good! Clothes shopping used to be horrible and depressing.
20. What was the last healthy thing you did?
I ran a half marathon on Saturday!
Congrats on the half marathon!
ReplyDeleteWorkout buddies I feel are few and far between. I always get jealous of people showing pictures of them and their friends going on runs or doing cross training workouts - Its a miracle if I can get my friends on a brisk walk ;) congrats on the half marathon!
